The Wyomissing Area High School Chess Team competes in the Berks County Chess League, the Pennsylvania State Scholastic Chess Championship as well as other local tournaments throughout the year. We meet each week to play and review games as well.

Permissions slips for the Mar. 2-4 State Championship Tournament are due by Fri. Feb. 3. All players are invited to go to this overnight trip that will cost about $80.

High School chess club members & anyone from the community of all ages are invited to play at the Wyomissing Public Library from 10 am - 12 noon on Saturdays, Jan 7, Jan 28, Feb 11, Feb 25, Mar 10, Mar 17, Apr 14, & Apr 28. Please come out and support this new club. No registration is required. Bring your own chess set & clock if possible.

| PARENTS: Don't add yet another video game to the collection. A $20 tournament chess setand a $26 chess clock are gifts that will last a lifetime. Players with their own tournament-approved chess sets take more pride in their chess game and will not have to borrow beat-up school sets.
